Description We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant for our team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks, including general ledger preparation, journal entries, accounts payable and receivables, bank reconciliations, and general office administration such as filing and billing invoices. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take suitable action to collect delinquent payments

• Conduct general ledger preparation and manage journal entries

• Handle accounts payable and receivables

• Perform bank reconciliations

• Execute general office administration tasks, including filing and billing invoices

• Use various accounting software packages for carrying out tasks

• Learn and adapt to different operational procedures as defined by the Controller. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a related role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management

• Ability to handle Journal Entries and Month End Close activities

• Familiarity with Filing, Billing, and Invoice processes

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
