Description

We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The role involves executing a variety of accounting functions, focusing on areas such as financial statement reconciliations, accounts payable, and compliance. You will be working in a dynamic environment where your skills in Microsoft Excel, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes will be crucial.

Responsibilities:

• Execute accounting functions, including managing accounts payable and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

• Prepare and reconcile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Perform month-end close processes, including general ledger entries

Perform Reconciliations

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for a variety of accounting tasks, including data analysis and financial modeling

• Ensure all accounting activities adhere to established policies and procedures

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in housing authority accounting and compliance, applying this expertise as needed in the role

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

Requirements:

-4+ years of Accounting experience

-Public Accounting Experience is Ideal

• Possession of a Bachelor's or Honours Degree in relevant field.

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions.

• Familiarity with Compliance procedures and regulations.

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements.

• Knowledge of General Ledger/AP/Reconciliations/Month End Close

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Expertise in housing authority accounting & compliance is a plus
