Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our client's team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be integral to the maintenance of our accounting department's priorities and strategic initiatives, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, and balance sheet in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and IFRS standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee, review, and approve of corporate level accounting functions including corporate accounting allocations and fees

• Prepare income allocation and waterfall calculations

• Prepare consolidated financial statements

• Manage joint venture entity accounting and reporting

• Conduct monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliation process and open items posting

• Carry out monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliation and variance analysis

• Communicate financial performance with senior management

• Ensure internal control compliance

• Assist with special projects related to quarterly close reporting process, budgets, internal audit, annual audit, investor and lender requirements and other assignments as needed from time to time

• Use Yardi Software for various accounting tasks

• Apply IFRS Accounting standards in all relevant tasks

• Conduct Monthly Account Reconciliation and Month End Closings

• Leverage expertise in Commercial Real Estate accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required

• Public Accounting experience highly value

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role or a similar position.

• Knowledge and experience in Commercial Real Estate accounting is required.

• Ability to prepare and analyze Consolidated Financial Statements.

• Knowledge of Joint Ventures accounting practices is necessary.

• A proven track record in handling Month End/ Year End Closings.
