The Principal Licensing Manager for Cytiva is responsible for technology transfer through licensing in alignment with business goals to drive impact to the organization.

This position is part of the Licensing Group located in Marlborough, MA and will be fully remote with an expectation of 20% travel. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Partner in identification, evaluation, cultivation, and management of technology in-licensing needs and Cytiva technology out-licensing programs, including out-licensing revenue targets and enterprise-wide reporting including intellectual property.

  • Provide significant contributions during external partner cultivation phases, providing significant contributions including to strategic rationale, due diligence, business case and term sheet development.

  • Assist Open Innovation (OI) team with external technology acquisition and be responsible for successful handoff of projects to the Commercial Teams who will own subsequent Product Development projects.

  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence efforts of external technology partners and apply understanding of technical, legal, financial and market dynamics which have bearing on a final agreement.

  • Understand compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business is required.

  • At least 6-7 years of experience with working knowledge of the technology licensing process, marketing, patent management and the negotiation of license agreements that is typically gained through related licensing or technology transfer.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including a metrics driven approach to decision-making with a track record of strategic thinking, business acumen, and execution for results.

  • Collaborative and can work cross-functionally and engage with a wide range of constituents with strong communication skills in order to persuade and negotiate with others.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Advanced degree in physical science or engineering or combination of a degree in science with an MBA. CLP designation is preferred.

  • Knowledge in the structure and negotiation intellectual property agreements, including in-licenses and out-licenses, option agreements, and collaboration agreements and other related contracts.

  • Work experience in the life sciences sector.

The salary range for this role is $140,000 - 160,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
