Jonathan Spielvogel of Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in the dynamic High Tech - Pharm/Biotech sector, located in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will manage the daily functions of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, uphold robust financial controls, and collaborate with various departments to ensure precise operating expense reporting.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.

· Maintain accurate AR billing and collection systems as well as AP systems that reflect the company's financial operations.

· Partner with Accounting Management to establish and pursue short- and long-term goals for AR billing, collections, and AP.

· Ensure alignment of these goals with company-wide objectives and compliance with evolving regulations and legal requirements.

· Introduce and implement new controls and control systems for AR billing, collections, and AP as necessary.

· Develop, document, and update detailed internal finance policies, procedures, flowcharts, training materials, and guidelines for AR billing, collections, and AP processes.

· Continuously monitor and improve policies and procedures, contributing to the formulation and implementation of major goals and objectives.

· Ensure AR billing, collections, and AP activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.

· Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process with external auditors.

· Collaborate closely with departments such as R& D, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure accurate operating expense reporting and identify efficient business operations.

· Maintain industry-standard DSO and payment statistics.

Requirements

• Skilled in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Concur software

• Competency in Data Processing

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Experience in Check Processing

• Ability to manage discrepancies

• Skills in Expense Reporting

• Experience in Accounting Management

• Proven People Management skills
