Amazon Senior UX Designer, ECO (Easy Check Out) in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Biometric Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.

We are looking for a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer for the Amazon Dash Cart. You will create next generation shopping experiences that successfully bridge on-screen and physical cart interactions. You will work side-by-side with product managers, researchers, engineers, industrial designers, and store designers to give form to early ideas, and then bring those ideas to the finish line. You will design scalable shopping experiences across digital and physical modalities. You will develop a deep understanding of customer needs to create easy, delightful and new shopper experiences.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior UX Designer for Amazon Dash Cart, you will create next generation shopping experiences that successfully bridge on-screen and physical cart interactions. You will work side-by-side with product managers, researchers, engineers, industrial designers, and store designers to give form to early ideas, and then bring those ideas to the finish line. The role requires deep understanding of customer needs, and thinking big about how we can make the customer shopping experience across digital and physical modalities easy and delightful. You will:

• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to arrive at simple and intuitive customer-focused solutions.

• Dive deep on customer pain points and triangulate inputs (quantitative and qualitative data, user and stakeholder feedback, business and technical constraints, etc.) to inform and iterate design solutions.

• Work creatively around difficult business and technical constraints to maintain a high customer experience bar.

• Lead the design process from concept design, through high fidelity prototypes, to final CX.

• Define user interactions, information architecture, and visual language and introduce improved design patterns and systems.

• Partner with UX research to formulate generative and evaluative research studies.

• Communicate complex design concepts and decisions clearly and persuasively across different audiences.
