Join Jacobs as a Senior Operations Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering landscape. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing our data-driven solutions, enhancing our cloud infrastructure, and streamlining operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide IT and DevOps support for engineering projects
Monitor and optimize platform performance and security
Manage cloud cost data and optimize resources
Develop and extend tools and processes for security, backups, monitoring, and resource management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success
Help expand our cloud operations for our upcoming European expansion
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of our tools and processes
Here’s what you’ll need :
Required Experience:
Extensive experience with Cloud Operations, Linux, Ansible scripting, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS
Proficiency in designing and managing cloud environments and cloud cost billing
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Desirable Skills:
Experience with GCP Big Query, Kubernetes, Python, Zabbix, and Terraform
GCP certifications
