JOB REQUIREMENTS: GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Reporting directly to the Traffic & Logistics Trade Compliance Manager, the Logistics Specialist position supports the day to day logistics function at Manitou in North America. Works closely with the logistics analysts to perform daily functions. Will be a self-directed Associate who is able to set priorities to achieve desired results, communicate issues effectively throughout the organization to build consensus, and work independently as well as collaboratively. Candidates will need to be able to work across all disciplines within the organization to answer questions and resolve issues that arise throughout the supply chain in a timely manner. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with daily shipment requests. Processing daily import/export shipments and working with the freight forwarder and customs broker. Create a monthly accrual report. Tracking and Tracing of shipments. Claims Processing. Verify international documentation for accuracy and compliance. Work with logistics intermediaries (e.g. carriers, forwarders, brokers) to ensure all regulatory requirements are met for the smooth movement of cargo. Review and monitor performance of brokerage service providers as it relates to freight pay and audit. Monitor carrier KPI\'s and report discrepancies. Overseas travel may be required at the discretion of the manager. (Less than 5%) Performs other related duties and assignments to support function. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERTISE: Ability to complete and process necessary, sometimes complex, forms and documents(e.g. government certifications, shipping documents, invoices, expense reports) accurately and within required time frames. Demonstrated proficiency in Google suite, PowerBI and Excel preferred. Previous exposure or experience with TMS preferred.
